One Craft you wish to learn...

Challenge~
What is one craft you wish you could learn in 2007?

I want to learn to knit this year. I have always wanted to learn to knit a number of things. So my goal is to give it a try before the year is over. Maybe if I get the hang of it OK I can make some new hats and scarfs for my boys. Can never have enough of these winter items. If anyone has any helpful tip or hints for a beginner please feel free to share. I will need all the advice a person can get. I've got no clue what all I need to start this craft even.

Knitting? I've always been TERRIBLE at it.

I wish you the best of luck and can't wait to see what you come up with :)

That sounds like a cool fun thing to learn. A friend of my mom knits and she made a blanket for each of my boys as well as myself and my brothers when we all were babies. Good luck and I wish you the best in learning this new skill!!

Knitting is cool! I learned a basic stitch a long time ago and it's still the only stitch I know but I always had fun knitting. What worked best for me was the metal needles instead of the wooden ones. I also preferred the skinny needles as opposed to the thick ones. Have fun with it!

I learned to knit from some ladies at church. Then my sister learned and she is much better than I so whenever I need help I ask her. Also, we have a book called Stitch and Bitch. It's very helpful! Scraves are the easiest!
