Model Train Show

Thursday night was a chilly night. Out of the cold at the Northfield Library, our family did the yearly Model Train Show. Its something that my Father~In~Law has been active in for years. Since Neal & I have been together its been something our family now does every Dec. The boys look forward to every year. As Grandpa lets them run his train sets. Something very special to them both.
This year was another mile stone for us. Devin was able to bring two of his trains to show. Yep, thats right Grandpa said why not. It would be a great way to let kids know you dont have to be an adult to like model trains. Devin brought his Geo Trac and Thomas the Train sets. He also picked out some of his Thomas take alongs to show as well.
I must say it was a big hit with kids of all ages. I talked to Grandma and Grandpa today to see if they had a rough number of just how many people came thru the library to look at all the trains. As there were about ten different trains set up on the second floor of the library. Not expecting to hear the number I was told, but there were around 1,200 people.
This is something that goes along with the towns yearly Winter Walk thru the downtown. Kinda a Christmas festival type of thing.

What a wonderful thing to do! I bet Devin had a great time especially being able to show his OWN trains. :)
