Could you all please keep my 6 year old niece Alissa in your thoughts & prayers. She had surgery at 9am this morning. Alissa has had major infections, which medicine would not clear the infection. They needed to cut around her ear, and vacuum the pocket out, pack it for two weeks. Then in two weeks they will need to go back in and remove the packing and place the tubes in once again.
I talked to my sister a few hours ago, the Dr's told them that it was worse then what they had expected. They needed to reconstruct part of her ear. From the infection it had deteriorate some of the lower bone. POOR GIRL.She did good. Needs to stay in the hospital over night. Alissa will be out of school for two weeks. Good thing she is only in kindergarten. I'm going to try and make her a few cards. I will send her some in the mail to give her something to look forward to and then maybe bring her a few. My sister has a lot going on right now. Trying to deal with this and then taking care of a 4 day old baby.
If you could please keep her in your thoughts that she heals well and they do not need to go in and do the other ear.
