She is doing fairly well concerting her circumstance. We have her in a holding pattern with the cancer. The medicine we have her on is still helping keep the lymph nodes from getting worse. I did call and talk with our vet last week. She gave me a scare. She was playing she started to have dog hiccups, not normal sounding. It had a wet suffocating sound so of course I worried it might be her time to pass on to doggy heaven. I wanted to ask the vet if this was a sign of it getting worse or not. Since neither Neal or myself have dealt with cancer in a dog before so we wanted to check. Good news (as good as it can be) was that this is something common in Yorkies. Kinda like a dogie for of an Asthma attack. From the other information she was asking me it sounds like we have her in a good holding pattern. Suzy is eating like a pig and I mean a pig. Always sitting by the food dish for more food. Our vet also said she is very lucky to have us as her family. Most families wouldn't do the hospice care we are giving her. Made me feel good that I'm doing the right thing for my Princess. If she starts to not eat, have a hard time swallowing or losing weight it is nearing the end.
On a funny note about Suzy. Within the last few weeks, she is very playful at times. Last weekend we were sitting her watching tv. She wanted to play with Neal. he didn't notice right away. Suzy started to growl at him for his attention. she would also pick her toy up and drop it on his feet. After a couple seconds she started to bark at Neal. This is a new thing for her. Its cute. I made a video of it with my camera but dont know how to share it on here. If I can figure it out, or someone can walk me thru it I would love to share it with all you who read my blog.
