Quick update on Suzy

I'm sorry for not giving an update sooner. As we are trying to enjoy and take in as much time as we can with Suzy. We started her on Prednisone Friday night. Giving her one pill twice a day for a week. Then going down to one a day. She will stay on this medicine as long as her body reacts. She will not be able to go off the Prednisone. Our vet Dr. Rich said it we took her off it for any amount of time and then restarted it. Her body might not react.

I'm blessed to have this time with Suzy. As its one day at a time now. We haven't been able to let her sleep with us any longer. For the fact she has to got potty more often and can not have accidents in the bed. Which believe me has been so hard on Neal & myself. We try to keep her resting in bed with us as long as we can at night. Then right before one of us are ready to sleep. We bring her into the bathroom with a blanket and a puppy pad. I get up to check on her a few times a night. Not use to having her out of bed.

Our days consist of getting Devin off to school. Make sure that they dogs are feed. Suzy then gets on the couch and rest. Normally she would get her toy after eating to play catch with me. That has become less and less. I then take her upstairs wtih me to lay in bed, relax and cuddle with my princess for a few hours. I'm lucky I have that option. She isn't showing any signs of pain. Just has a very sad look to her eyes.

The photo I have shared to the right is so cute. It looks like she is giving me a smile. I'm making sure to take as many pictures of her as possible.

So for now we are hangin in there and she is doing well.
