Sell at Craft Shows

Today's Challenge on Two Peas~ Have you ever made layouts/cards to sell at craft shows? If so how did it go.

I have thought about making things to sell. Never seem to follow thru with my idea. For some reason I'm always worried nobody would want to buy them.

Just recently tho I was asked by a friend to make him 20 cards. He has seem some of my scrapbook layouts and likes my work. I was more then pleased to make them. Looking forward to him seeing the cards in person. To hear what he thinks of them. I've also made a couple for my old boss. She was going to have me make them to sell at the gas station. Never happened. If you want to see some of my work there are some posted on here in previous threads.

I just need to make them and go for it. After all I've started to push myself to go out of my comfort zone and apply for a few Design Teams. Waiting to hear on those

I haven't made them to sell, though I'm thinking of doing some craft shows. My sister however has been putting her cards at a local coffee shop. They are selling - not that she's getting rich, but they are going!

A few of us from our store tried selling handmade items at a craft sale a couple of years ago. I think our stuff was awesome, but it hardly sold at all. A lot of people came and took in our ideas but didn't buy. It was disappointing. I still think there are many opportunities out there and it is worth trying again sometime, someplace else! Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Good luck!

My friend & I have had a lot of luck with selling our handmade paperarts! We have a booth at the downtown markets during the summer & when the cruises come in during the fall. We are signed up to do two large Christmas Craft Fairs and are super excited!! Not sure if we'll be able to make all of the product we hope to, but it's a lot of fun and you'd be surprised at how many people are scrapbookers but buy anyways! We are also going to start making kits to sell to that part of the market, as there are a lot of people who have requested kits (we'll even do classes eventually!). Check out our blog if you want some more details! Good luck! :D Ann
