My oldest son Austin had a very scary thing happen to him this past Wednesday. He witnessed an attempted abduction of a neighbor/friend. Austin seen it from a block away. He gave the police the description of the man, did a TV interview for a local news station. Check out the video
http://kstp.com/article/stories/S136620.shtml?cat=1 they don't have much of his interview on the latest clip. But we did get it recorded for him. He also had to go to the police station to watch a video to identify the man who they arrested in another town. This sick guy tired to take four different girls in three towns. I'm very glad he was arrested. Austin told his dad & grandma that he wouldn't go back outside to play til he knew the guy was caught. I know it happens all over but this is to close to home for me.
I'm very proud of my son. He did what he needed to help and give what information he had to help the police. My shy son stood up when he needed too.
So as I end this entry please remember to talk with your children about Stranger Danger. It just might be needed when you least expect it.
