Breaks my heart to say We had to put Suzy to sleep today. The last few days things went down hill for her. The cancer moved into other organs. The vet thinks it went into her intestinal track. Yesterday afternoon Neal & I talked things over and decided we needed to make the apptment to have her put to sleep. It was set for Monday, but when we got up this morning. I could see she was starting to suffer. Not going to the bathroom, not eating, not drinking or playing. Her stomach was rock hard. I called the vet to discuss our options. It was then decided that we needed to put her to sleep today. At one oclock today I had to do one of the hardest things in my life. I was in the room with her talking to her as the vet injected the meds., telling her it was ok Mommy loved her and wanted her to be out of pain. May she be resting in peace and enjoying her new life in heaven.

Maureen... I am so very sorry for you and your family. It is always hard when you loose a pet, but Suzy girl was only with your family a short time.... I am sorry for your loss.

That just breaks my heart. I am SO sorry for your loss! We had to put our first dog down due to liver cancer. Then we had to put our Sheltie down in March. He was only 6 years old. It is SO hard to lose a furry family member! Hugs!
I'm so, so sorry, Maureen. The animal lovers among us know what a hard time you are going through. Thank goodness that Suzy's pain is over and that she can rest in peace now.
