Challenge: With it being Christmas Eve what is one traditon you hope to pass on?
I hope that I can pass on to my boys that family is the most important thing at Christmas. Thats its not all about what you get for gifts or how much you spend. But, who you spend it with and what joy that brings. I have to say I'm very blessed to have the family I have today. Growing up in foster care it wasn't always good. Not having the familybond was hard. Neal & myself have changed that for the boys. We love to spend time with his parents and the boys. When its possible having my brother and Neal's brother and his family over from Wisc. Just sitting around talking about old times and laughing brings great joy to me.
I want to share some of our wonderful day together with family. We went over to Neal's parents at 1pm. Dinner was at 3pm but that was pushed back no big deal. We hung out with Grandma & Grandpa talking and watching the boys pay. Neal's sister and her new husbnad arrived. We decided to open gifts then eat as they had other places to go. Right before Kim & Richard got there we had his mom take a family picture. I hate having my picutre taken but wanted one of us. Kids made a hall with gifts and got neat books to read. Grandma can always find some good ones for everyone. Dinner was a nice mello one, dollar sandwhichs, fruit tray, veggie tray, chips, cookies and salad. Tommorrow we are going to be spending together here at home.
I hope everyone has a Safe and Hapy Holiday together with family. Those who have family & friends serving our country that they return safe.
