Why am I feeling this way

I have been doing alot of thinking the last day or so. And lean towards getting rid of all my scrapbooking stuff. Totally giving this hobby up after 12 years. I just don't seem to be as creative and find as much enjoyment out of it laltey. I'm also afraid that is I think I should sell my things, that a few months or so down the raod I might regret doing this. PLease help me

Am I alone with having these type of feelings?

I think you should walk away from it for a little while. I "left" for 5-6 months because of other commitments, expense, sickness, etc... I had the time to scrap but just didn't want to. When I came back (and slowly I did) I found a new enjoyment out of it. I stopped looking at the mags for "the way" and just did what made me happy. :-) And happy I am.

Hang on girl. It will get better.

I take week, month, to year long breaks quite often. Then when I feel the scrapping urge I come back to it...do some cleaning, reorganizing, and a little shopping. And in no time I'm back and ready to scrap again. Just take a break and see what happens in a few weeks or months. You'd be surprised at how a break from even your most beloved hobbies are very necessary to keep from getting burned out. Good luck and don't worry...I'm sure it happens to many more of us then we'll ever know. ;)

Oh gosh, I don't think you should get rid of everything....maybe just take a break from it for a while. I think at one point or another, we probably all feel like that a little bit. I know I did when we moved because it was such a pain to pack everything & move it. But I can't imagine my life without scrapbooking in it.

Take a break & maybe try a new hobby for a while before you make your final decision.

If it helps any, I've always enjoyed your work :)

gotta echo what the gals said,
if you need to, take a break,

sometimes I find that I am putting pressure on myself and need to 'get back to basics' for a while. just remember why I really do this, for me and my family

been there and so glad I didn't do it! like everyone said take a break. maybe even try something new and non-scrapping for a while.

Pack it all up for awhile - you'll regret it if you get rid of it - and just take some time to enjoy other things in life... I'm not a very prolific scrapper, but it can become overwhelming at times, just living and breathing scrapbooking!

I hear ya! I go through times when I don't feel very creative at all. I find that if I do other things (beading, cardmaking, painting, story or poetry writing) then my scrapbook mojo will come back eventually. Hang in there!

Oh don't give it up! It is probably a part of who you are, and you would miss it! Maybe just take a small break to get re-energized!

Don't do it! Just take a break like many of the other ladies have said :)

Perhaps like some others have said Maureen, you just need to take a break from it . . .

Take a little break, take a class, find a differant thing for your creative outlet. Don't get rid of anything!!!!

I agree, Maureen -- don't get rid of your stuff. Take some time off...maybe try something completely different, spend some time reading or writing. Then come back to it after you're refreshed. I believe everybody goes thru this once in awhile. It's kind of a creative slump. Taking a break will usually cure it!

BTW, I tagged you on my blog! :-)
