Michigan in the Winter

Last weekend our family took a weekend trip to the UP of Michigan. It was a wonderful time. We (Devin & myself) were able to meet more of Neal's family on his mother's side. Our reason for going was his Grandma Eva turned 100 on Nov 30Th. The family planned a nice party for her on Saturday afternoon. She had no clue anyone was coming. So needless to say she was very surprised. All but one of her six children was able to make it home. Then on Sunday, the nursing home she lives in had a nice party for her. Grandma is 100% Finnish and the home had a couple come in to play some Finnish music. We had a wonderful time with the family. It was hard to leave. Grandma Eva doesn't look 100 does she? In my eyes she does not. I love hearing her stories of her life.

On Sunday morning, We (Neal, Devin & myself) took a quick road trip to Black River Harbor. Every year we go out there for the say on our summer vacation. Boy let me just say its way different in the winter. It was beginning to snow so we didn't stay out there to long. However Devin and Neal took a little hike to one of the waterfalls. I'll make a slideshow and post it later in the week.
