Yesterday afternoon I had a conference with Devin's 3rd grade teacher. I had to reschedule it as he was sick over MEA. Part of me was very worried as I didn't know what to expect. As his teacher is a very strict one. I'm pleased to say that he is doing great There wasn't a bad thing said in the whole conference. His reading is improving as well as his math. She showed me the copy of the NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) test results. Some of his scores are higher then the other 3rd grades in our town, even higher then the United States scores. That sure was a wonderful bit of news. Ms. Morley even said that if he didn't get all the make up homework done last night to bring it back. That here usually is one of the students that gets their work done early and had some free time to work on it. His AR reading score should be going up to the next level this week.
We stress that school is very important and to give it you all. I'm so very proud of Devin. Made sure he knows that by telling him more then once. For that he will be getting a reward and he has no idea.
