Scrap Fest

Yep that's right Nicole & I took part in the biggest scrapbook page, while at Scrap Fest. We had a wonderful time. However it was just Friday for us this year. We have already said next year will be the whole thing, classes and all.

There were 27 different vendors. Way to many to decide which one to stop at and which one not too. The lines were not to bad for us 1st timers. As many people who have attended in past years said they were longer. One of my all time favorite designers was there doing demo's. Any guesses?

Tim Holtz

Next year I've got to take one of his classes for sure. He is so creative. If you've never seen his work. You've got to check his blog.

First make n take was with Bazzill. We created this great full page layout. Love some of the new products they've got starting to arrive in stores. (more on some of those later)

Then it was off to KI Memories. There we created a neat altered manila envelope for school papers and such. The front has three pockets for smaller stuff.

Our next stop was a cute altered notebook from Reminisce. This would be a great thing for kids to do for their Halloween parties in school. The ghost are on pop dots to make it stand out some. I've also gotta tell ya I love some of the ideas they had at their booth. Might be making some of them.

Off to Bo Bunny we go.. They give out these cute pins with a flower and the Bo Bunny ribbon. Something they give out every year just different color flowers. Whats not to love about a flower. :) At their booth we made a tag book. Love the paper we used for it. Now to find the perfect pics to add. They also gave us a package of rub ons

Making Memories was our next booth. I was very excited to see what we would be using to create the make n take. The SLICE which anyone who knows a little about me. I've been waiting to get one of these since it was announced at the Spring CHA show.

One of our favorite booths to stop at was Stemma. Love the make n take. It is a scrap page made into a cute ribbon looking board to put pics and such on. I've got to admit that was the longest line we stood in waiting. Meet some nice ladies from Chicago and one who was a pain in the butt. I think it took us an hour and a half to reach the table. Its a great idea for anyone who has girls for a birthday party or sleep over activity.

The last make n take we did was with American Craft.

We did go in the Creative Imaginations line, hoping to do the super cute make n take with rooster ribbon,. But by the time we got their they had ran out of supplies. I was bummed as my kitchen is done with roosters. The nice gentleman working the booth did give us directions. We can do it at home.

Archiver's had a huge Hot Spot ($1.99) in the Rotunda. It was super overwhelming to see everything. With alot of people and not much room. I'll share my goodies in a later post.

While I was waiting for Nicole to check out I meet a lady from Burnsville. We exchanged emails, hoping to get to know her and meet up to scrap together sometime.

All in all Nicole & I had a wonderful time at our first ever Scrap Fest!! Looking forward to next year already.
