Favorite Thanksgiving gathering

Challenge:
Describe your favorite Thanksgiving gathering.
What made it special to you?

My favorite Thanksgiving gathering would have to be the very first one with my DH, the boys and our extended family. Neal & I had just gotten married a few months before this and decided to start a new family tradition. He's best friend owns a restaurant/entertainment center that is closed on Thanksgiving every year. So Neal & I thought it would be a great place to have our family dinner together. More space and lots of kitchen to get the meal ready. We invited his parents, my little brothers and nephew, his sister and her boyfriend, his brother, sister in law and the girls. And at the restaurant his friend owns. Neal has worked there on and off for years and there was a gentlemen that doesn't have any family. Handicap and alone so we invited him to come to dinner with us. This way we knew he wouldn't be spending the holiday alone and not eating good. We have made sure to invite Phil each and every Thanksgiving. Neal and I make a huge meal. Turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potato's, reg. mashed potato's, corn, dinner rolls, cranberries. Not to mention we have pumpkin, apple, and pecan pie for desert.

This is a wonderful family gathering. And love the fact its time spent with family.
